The weekend before the NCCC returned to Scotland the club held a warm-up Challenge Match. The idea here was that the Travelers would form one team and the rest of the club would provide opposition, not only giving the International side a chance to play together, but giving them a real challenge to help prepare for playing in Scotland.
 Kim and Bruce contest the ball at midfield (sequence) The match was closely contested, but the Travelers managed to pull out a victory over the four "halves" that were played. The Travelers had an opportunity to wear the International jerseys and try out the new hoop-socks, which were a big hit. Silly perhaps, but every little bit would help us on our Scottish adventure!
